StephenStarr has a new project destined for South Street. He has teamed up with Peter Serpico, former culinary director of Momofuku in NYC, to open an Asian inspired restaurant at 604 South Street. The building housed a former Foot Locker. The restaurant will feature an open kitchen, and seat about 50 persons with a small bar. Serpico is creating an a la carte menu with a similar vibe to Momofuku's edgy aesthetic: burned mackerel tataki, sous-vide duck legs "torqued" into hot dogs, stuffed lamb ribs, and amaro-scented oxtail soup with caramelized onion dumplings in shaved daikon. Looking forward to the opening.
